Description: Naturally Free Grower is the transitional feed between Naturally Free Starter and either Naturally Free Layer or Soy Free Layer. This is a whole grain mash feed made with our specially formulated nutrient mix and contains No Soy and No Corn. Perfect for your “adolescent” hens, this feed is intended for pullets from 8 weeks to approx 18-20 weeks of age or until they begin to lay eggs. Although Grower Feed is nutritionally similar to our Layer Feeds it does not contain necessary calcium levels needed for shell strength.

Feeding Instructions: Feed Naturally Free Grower to pullets at 8 weeks of age. This is a transitional feed intended to follow our Naturally Free Starter Feed. When switching to a new feed, do so gradually to allow for a slow adjustment to the larger grains. If you have a mixed age coop this feed would be a great option for the entire flock while offering Oyster Shell free choice for your hens already laying. Offer plenty of fresh water and grit to help aid digestion.
Use: Grower feed is intended to provide a slightly higher protein to aid in development and growth. This feed does not contain high levels of calcium; growing pullets are not yet making eggs so don’t need such high concentrations of this mineral.

Note: If raising meat birds please see our Broiler Grower Feed for a more suitable option. Oyster Shell should not be fed to pullets until they start laying eggs.
