Description: Naturally Free Layer is the complete diet for your laying hens. This is the final product in our poultry series intended to follow our Soy Free or Naturally Free Grower and Naturally Free Starter Feeds. This is a whole grain mash feed made with our specially formulated nutrient mix and contains No Soy and No Corn.

Feeding Instructions: Feed Naturally Free Layer to laying hens at approximately 18-20 weeks of age.  When switching to a new feed, do so gradually to allow for a slow adjustment to the new feed formula. Be sure to offer fresh water and plenty of grit and oyster shell*.

 *Oyster shell does not substitute grit! Oyster shell will be digested by chickens and used as a calcium supplement for shell strength. Grit is not digested, it builds up in the gizzard to help digest food for maximum nutrient absorption.

Use: Layer feed is intended to provide your laying hens with a balanced maintenance diet. This feed has 16.5% protein which is the minimum recommended for egg laying hens.

Note: This feed contains high amounts of calcium and should not be fed to birds who are not or will not be laying eggs soon. This feed is also suitable for laying ducks!
