Scratch and Peck Feeds Our Commitment Scratch and Peck Feeds Pacific Northwest Farmers Scratch and Peck Feeds Animal Welfare Approved

Vision: We envision a world where organic and whole foods are found on every table, organic agriculture is dominant, animals are humanely raised, and people understand that you are what your animals eat.
Mission: Make honest, wholesome organic animal feed products with the most heartfelt regard for our planet and fellow living creatures.

Every decision made at Scratch and Peck Feeds is with the intent of making life better for the planet and all living creatures. By 2013, we were the first animal feed manufacturer to be both Certified Organic and Non-GMO Project Verified. To make change, we need to lead by example. That is why we have gone the distance to achieve the certifications and partnerships that align with the change we want to see in the world. We are dedicated to sustainable farming and supporting local agriculture by buying directly from farmers we know and trust. Our aim is to provide access to high-quality animal feed, treats and supplements that all animals deserve. We believe in doing our part to make our world a better place.

USDA Organic
Certified Organic

We achieved our Certified Organic status in 2013. We believe in improving the entire food chain by eliminating harmful toxins and genetically engineered organisms that rely on chemical inputs and degrade the environment. Choosing products that are Certified Organic and Non-GMO Project Verified is the best way to make sure you are getting the safest, healthiest, highest-quality food for your animals and your family.

Non-GMO Verified
Non-GMO Project Verified

In 2012, we became the first animal feed manufacturer in North America to become Non-GMO Project Verified and are committed to living non-GMO. Visit the Non-GMO Project’s website for more information about high risk crops and the stipulations of their Standard for GMO avoidance. Our products go through the Non-GMO Project’s rigorous verification process, which includes segregation and testing practices, annual audits and onsite inspections. We set and achieve a tighter threshold for GMO avoidance than what is required by the Non-GMO Project.

Animal Welfare Approved
Animal Welfare Approved*

Animal Welfare Approved (AWA) is a food label for meat and dairy products that come from farm animals raised to the highest animal welfare and environmental standards. The AWA program supports independent farmers and believes that how animals are raised, the quality of the products, and the impact of farming on the environment are all linked. We agree! Our Fish Meal is wild caught Pacific Whiting from the Pacific Coast and is a by-product of human grade food production processed an AWA operation in Hoquiam, WA. This West Coast fishery is certified by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) to show its commitment sustainability. We extend a discount on our feeds to AWA farmers.
