How much feed do I give my goats?
Our goat feed is a supplement to a good quality forage diet. We recommend feeding 1.5% of the goat’s weight in feed.
- Kids: Free choice hay plus 1/2 lb of grain feed per head.
- Lactating Does: Free choice hay plus 1/2 – 1 lb per day per head.
- Bucks: Free choice hay plus 1 – 2 lbs per head during the breeding season.
Always offer plenty of fresh water. When transitioning feed, change slowly over 10-14 days.
Caution! Do not feed goat feed to sheep – this product contains added copper and can be toxic to sheep.
